We are pleased to announce that SYMBA has officially been featured in the International Bioeconomy Solutions Library (IBSoL), an initiative developed within the International Bioeconomy Forum to highlight innovative and practical solutions supporting the transition towards a more sustainable and circular bioeconomy.
SYMBA’s entry was published on 21 October 2026, coinciding with the launch of the IBSoL pilot website during the Global Bioeconomy Summit 2026, held in Dublin, Ireland, from 19 to 22 October.
The inclusion of SYMBA in IBSoL represents an important recognition of the project’s approach to fostering industrial symbiosis and promoting circular bio-based value chains.Β Being featured in an international library of bioeconomy solutions provides an opportunity to showcase SYMBA’s approach beyond its established European networks, reaching researchers, industry representatives, policymakers and other stakeholders interested in practical solutions for the bioeconomy transition.
By making SYMBA’s approach more visible and accessible to a global audience, the library can help inspire similar initiatives, encourage knowledge exchange and support the potential replication of project methodologies across different industrial sectors and regional contexts.
This milestone strengthens SYMBA’s contribution to the wider bioeconomy community, highlighting the importance of collaboration, innovation and knowledge sharing in accelerating the transition towards a more circular and resource-efficient European economy.
