The SYMBA project has recently gained recognition in the Italian press. On 16 September 2025, Eco dalle CittΓ , an italian digital magazine dedicated to urban environmental issues, providing daily updates on environmental news, published an article entitled βSYMBA, il progetto finanziato da Horizon Europe per la bioeconomia circolareβ.Β
This publication represents a significant milestone for SYMBA, as it placed industrial symbiosis at the core of the discussion, highlighting its role as a key strategy to promote a more interconnected model of circular bioeconomy. Such a model is capable of fully valorising raw materials in all their components, reinforcing the transition toward sustainable and resource-efficient industrial practices.
Importantly, the article was published in Italian, making the projectβs vision accessible to a wider audience, including those who may not be familiar with English. This underlines SYMBAβs commitment to inclusion and to raising awareness on industrial symbiosis beyond the research and policy community.
