We are pleased to announce that SYMBA has implemented a new set of Artificial Intelligence tools on its website, available here.
These tools represent a significant advancement in the digitalization and dissemination of the projectβs results. At this stage, the AI interface enables users to explore the Industrial Symbiosis solutions identified within the SYMBA project, offering a dynamic and user-friendly representation of the data.
This development stems from the updated version of the SYMBA IS Solutions Database, now publicly accessible via the SYMBA Community on Zenodo. In this new release, the IS solutions are not only mapped, but also prioritised based on their overall readiness, making the database a valuable decision-support resource for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers alike.
Looking ahead, these AI tools will also support the development of predictive data models aimed at estimating the environmental, social, and economic impacts of applying the SYMBA IS approach across various bio-based value chains.
The models will be capable of evaluating performance indicators under different scenarios, including potential variations in input parameters and production conditions, thereby strengthening the projectβs capacity to support strategic planning and implementation.
In the long term, the integration of AI will facilitate knowledge transfer to stakeholders and policymakers, helping to guide the transition and adoption of targeted policies that foster Industrial Symbiosis in the bio-based industries.
