On 6 May 2025, the SYMBA project took part in the βProjects4Future – Shaping Tomorrow: Horizon Europe Projects Driving the Circular Bio-based Transitionβ workshop, organised by the SUSTRACK project in collaboration with the European Bioeconomy Network (EuBioNet).
This Mobilisation and Mutual Learning (MML) event brought together over 50 participants and representatives from 19+ Horizon Europe projects committed to advancing standardisation, certification, labelling, and monitoring within the circular bio-based economy.
The SYMBA project actively contributed to this collaborative platform for knowledge exchange, sharing its approach and lessons learned in fostering industrial symbiosis as a key driver for circularity.

The workshop served as an important opportunity to align with other EU-funded initiatives, identify synergies, and collectively shape policy recommendations that can support the transition to a more sustainable and circular bioeconomy.
The key outcomes, tools, and recommendations collected during the workshop will be later presented at the BIOBASEDCERT cluster final conference which will be held on 13 May 2025 in Brussels, in the presence of policymakers from various European Commission Directorates-General and other high-level stakeholders.
