The SYMBA project was proud to participate in the Monitoring Bioeconomy Conference, which took place in Berlin, bringing together key stakeholders, experts, and policymakers to discuss the future of the bioeconomy in Europe.
The conference opened with inspiring remarks from representatives of the German Federal Ministries of Education, Research, and Agriculture, setting the tone for a day rich in dialogue and collaboration.

Participants engaged in a wide range of topics, including the launch of the Bioeconomy Monitoring Report, sustainability trends, Germanyβs bioeconomy performance, and the role of innovation in shaping a more sustainable future. The event featured highly interactive sessions that encouraged open exchange and participatory contributions from attendees, fostering a dynamic and forward-looking atmosphere.

For SYMBA, this was a valuable opportunity to connect with experts, share ideas, and explore pathways for integrating industrial symbiosis into broader bioeconomy strategies. Our team was present with dedicated materials, including a project roll-up banner, to raise awareness and spark new collaborations.
We extend our thanks to the organisers for hosting such a meaningful event and look forward to continuing this shared journey toward a more sustainable and interconnected European economy.
